Home Who we are

Who we are

Founder and Trustee:

Lisa Cartwright

As well as her own dogs Lisa usually has a foster hound or two... and also gives a home to those hounds that are a bit of a challenge!

Board of Trustees:

Annette Pemberton

Annette shares her home with her three hairy lurchers; Rio, Bertie and Angus.  Annette is the charity's treasurer and secretary.

Liz Bennett

Liz has eight hounds at home; five lurchers and three whippets. Murphy, Badger, Jess, Suzie, Izzy, PeepPeep, Eddie and Frazzle. She is our rehoming coordinator and one of the first ports of call for enquiries about our dogs.

Ali Packham

Ali shares her home with her lurchers - Meg and Murphy.  Ali looks after the website and our merchandise.

Sam Corcoran

Sam shares her sofa with her three greyhounds, Cybil, Dickie and Winston. She also has two rescue cats - Rudy and Newt.

RoseMarie Edwards

RoseMarie has three lurchers living with her - Ben, Kizzey and Joel. They, in turn, share their house and beds with foster dogs as there is nearly always a dog guest staying in the house.

Jen Lee

Jen shares her home with two Greyhounds, a lurcher and a mutt - Goldie, Dolly, Angel and Fella. She also has in residence long term foster hound Salsa and is usually host to the odd extra foster when required.

Fundraising Coordinator:

Jo Harrison

Jo shares her life with Ellie (a little collie-cross) and three adorable greyhounds - Barney, Biggles and Twirl.

Forum Moderators

We have a group of willing volunteers who help moderate our active forum.  As it turns out, Gappers are such a friendly bunch the forum needs very little moderation but the mods do a grand job in keeping things ticking over.

Collar Makers

We have small band of fantastic and talented people who make collars for Greyhound Gap.  The collars are a wonderful way of raising funds and are all handmade to the highest standards.  We hold occasional collar auctions on the forum, sell them at our biannual shows and on our fundraising stalls at various events.

Volunteers

We have an absolutely amazing group of people who turn out in all weathers to attend meets and greets, fundraising events, transport needy hounds, walk the kennel dogs and offer themselves as fosterers.  We' would be stuck without them.   If you think you would like to volunteer please see the Ways to Help section of the website.
